Decaphos exists since 2002 and is owned since 2008 at 100% by Ecophos, in Belgium. The main activity of Decaphos is the production and the commercialization of phosphate salts for the animal feed market.

Decaphos’s plant is situated in Bulgaria, along the port of Varna. Since 2007, Bulgaria is a member of the European community. Thanks to its proximity with the port, Decaphos has one logistic asset to sell his production worldwide and to receive easily the raw materials needed. The founding idea of DecaPhos was to satisfy the market demand created by the directives of the EU of year 2000. The latter prohibited uses of animal bones as source of phosphor in animal feed were followed by the closing of several plants for production of phosphate salts.

Decaphos is one of the biggest producer of those raw additives not only in Bulgaria, but as well in the Balkans regions. This fact, in combination with the established excellent quality of Decaphos products has set up the company for a short time as the leader on the market of phosphates for animal feed in Bulgaria and neighboring countries.

The company management focuses on marketing products able to comply with the ever growing market demand, to cover the market requirements and expectations, to be competitive and flexible as far as the raw materials are involved.
